Please email us first if you have a cat before filling out an online application. We have limited number of cat friendly dogs, and lots of requests for cat friendly dogs. We will be glad to discuss our cat friendly dog availability prior to you filling out an application.
As of June 1, 2020 we are processing applications from New Jersey, Lehigh Valley and parts of Rockland and Orange County, NY.
If you live in New York City, Brooklyn, Delaware, or other parts of New York, please email us first with where you live.
We love the Islanders and Long Island, however, if you live there you know logistically it is a challenge. We will consider adoption for families that have no other animals.
We DO NOT adopt outside of the Northeast Region of the United States.
Our normal age range is between 25 and 75. We have adopted to folks over 75 but please email us first before filling out an application.
You must own your own home. If you are renting, please email first.
The goal of the application process is to find the best suitable dog for your lifestyle and household. To answer one of the most frequently asked questions, we do NOT require a fenced in back yard, unless specifically mentioned for a particular dog.
Depending upon the adopter’s level of experience and the dog’s temperament and age we may require the adopter sign up for a training session.
If you are interested in a particular dog, please read their full profile first. There may be additional requirements.
Dog 8 yrs old and up: $150 (or waived)
Dogs under 8 years old: $350
Dogs under 3 years old: $450
Puppies under 1 year old that are not fixed will be adopted out under a spay/neuter contract. This means that there is a $150 refundable deposit required that will be returned to adopters once proof of spay/neuter is provided. Additionally, Sedona will provide adopters the option to have their dog spayed free of charge at our preferred Vet Hospital.

We are back to servicing adoptions outside New Jersey. Servicing all of New Jersey, Northern Delaware, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Southern New York. If you live in the Northeast outside those areas please email first. We do not currently service any states west of Pennsylvania or south of Delaware.
